New Burial Mound Discovered at the New Castle, Indiana Ancient Sun Temple Site

A small burial mound has escaped detection by Ball State University archaeologists at the New Castle, Indiana Sun Temple (Henge) site.

The burial mound is located to the left of mound #1 on the far left.  The small burial mound that was the likely site of a charnel house was not mapped by Eli Lilly or Ball State archaeologists who have destroyed much of this sites burial mounds.
